Academic Writing 4-Hybrid

This eight-week course is designed to help students master the basic skills needed to write effectively. Its lessons and activities will increase the learners’ understanding of the mechanics of writing including: punctuation, capitalization, spelling, sentence structure and grammar. Students will also learn how to apply the various steps in the writing process, which will help them become a more confident writer. This course also focuses on paragraph and essay structure and development. Prerequisite: TABE 6.0-8.9 or consent of instructor; COMPASS writing 21-99 and E-WRITE 3; or COMPASS writing 21-47 and E-WRITE 4. Note: You must enroll in Academic Writing 3, 73-851-737 and Academic Writing 4, 74-851-747 within the same semester - same time, days, and instructor.
