Intro to Childcare Profession (formerly known as Assistant Childcare Teacher) covers the roles and responsibilities of an assistant teacher in a day care center, child development practical application, daily scheduling, positive guidance, building a positive self-concept in children, day care regulations, health practices, interpersonal relationships, and job stress and burnout. You must be 18 years of age to register for this class. "Intro to Childcare Profession ONLINE" is taught using MATC's online Blackboard software; students do not have to be online at any particular time of the day.
