Intro To Criminal Justice

Explore the role law enforcement officers play in a democracy and apply this knowledge in classroom exercises, including role-plays and other scenario-based training. Belief systems, social pressures, moral problems, decision making and the consequences of decisions are discussed. Identify the resources available in communities to assist law enforcement officers. Discuss issues involved in policing in a diverse society and identify strategies for working effectively with a diverse community. Course covers Wisconsin requirements for written law enforcement agency policies and procedures. Meets LESB performance objectives.
