Medical Term for Dietetics

Students study the components of medical words to learn medical terminology for communication with the members of the health care team. Emphasis is placed on recognition, pronunciation, definition and spelling of terms and abbreviations.

Prerequisites: Students must be enrolled in the Dietetic Technician Program. Students must also be concurrently enrolled in Nut for Diet (313-168), Food Scien (313-170), Prin Of San (313-171), DT Orien (313-172), Nut & BS (313-175), English 1 and General Chemistry
