Mammo Position & Anatomy

Provides the fundamentals of mammography positioning. The course will include breast anatomy and physiology, pathology and treatment of breast disease, and interventional procedures. Course content will emphasize the importance of establishing a positive relationship with the patient, addressing their psychological needs and providing patient information related to the procedure. This course is offered in online format with one required face-to-face meeting.

Credits: 3

Prerequisites: Student must be a registered radiologic technologist or a student radiographer enrolled in an accredited radiography program in their second year, second semester. Must also be enrolled in 526-185 Instr & QA and 526-187 Clinical Mammography
