Scripting with Perl

This course provides the student with experience with the Perl programming language. The course covers concepts such as repetitive tasks, file maintenance, log file analysis or Bioinformatics, database access and module usage. A simple text editor will be used for creating scripts and the Perl interpreter will be used to run the scripts. Prerequisite: Acceptance into certificate.
Credits: 3
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in Intro to Perl Programming, 10152150. For Bioinformatics Certificate: Introduction to Bioinformatics Programming, 10007180.
