Research Animal Surg Nursing

Offers instruction and practical application of common surgical nursing procedures that a laboratory animal technician could be expected to perform. The areas covered include sample collection and dentistry. Surgical procedures expected of students utilize laboratory animals and are under the direction of an instructor. Lectures supplement the laboratory demonstrations and practice of selected procedures on common laboratory animals. Prerequisite: completion of or concurrent enrollment in 10-091-152.
