High-energy ensemble participation focuses on common drumming techniques, ensemble listening skills, and techniques for creative improvisation. Warm-up activities, dexterity exercises, traditional music, and contemporary compositions lead a public performance at the end of the semester. Ability to read music is helpful but not required.
