Creative Writing/Poetry

Students develop poetic technique in open and traditional forms as they draft, critique, and revise poems. Reading assignments allow students to become familiar with principles and practice of poetry and poetics. Class meetings follow a workshop format. Prerequisite: English 1, 20-801-201 or Communication Skills 1, 10-801-151 and Creative Writing, 20-801-240 or consent of the instructor.
