Finite Mathematics provides the necessary mathematical preparation for the understanding of various quantitative methods in modern management theory and the social sciences. The topics included are: sets, relations, linear functions, matrix theory, the solutions of linear systems by graphical, algebraic, Gauss-Jordan, and inverse matrix methods, linear programming by graphical and simplex methods, the mathematics of finance, counting and probability, game theory, decision theory, and other related topics. Prerequisite: Intermediate Algebra, 20-804-201 with a grade of C or better or Intermediate Algebra Parts 1, 20-804-202 and 2, 20-804-203 with a grade of C or better in both parts or appropriate placement score.
