Gay & Lesbian Literature

This course examines work by representative authors in American literature written by and about lesbian and gay people from the 19th century to the present, including short stories, novels, drama, poetry and film. Works will be analyzed in regard to both specific and universal messages they have to offer, for non-gay and gay readers alike. Prerequisite: 20-801-201, English 1, or Communication Skills 1, 10-801-151.
