This course reviews and expands upon key grammatical structures needed to communicate effectively in Spanish. It focuses on expanding vocabulary, increasing grammatical accuracy and achieving paragraph-length discourse. Using the target language, students read and discuss culturally centered texts, review and broaden grammatical knowledge, complete oral and written exercises, write compositions and make formal class presentations. Some computer use is required for completing on-line homework assignments. Prerequisite: three semesters of college Spanish or three years of high school Spanish.
