Trigonometry includes study of the six trigonometric functions and their inverse functions; solve right and oblique triangles; know and apply basic identities and simplify trigonometric expressions using identities; solve trigonometric equations; graphing trigonometric functions; understand and apply De Moivre's theorem and the nth-root theorem; understand and use complex numbers and polar coordinates; solve application problems that rely on trigonometry. Prerequisite: College Algebra, 20-804-212 with a grade of C or better or appropriate placement score.
