Students will develop skills using various computer applications as they would be used in a law office. The student will be introduced to the concepts and ethical considerations related to file management, word processing, PDF file creation, spreadsheets, database management, timekeeping and billing, case management, docket control, electronic discovery, litigation support, the Internet, electronic mail, computer-assisted legal research, presentation graphics, and specialized legal software. Prerequisite: Concurrent enrollment in Introduction to Paralegalism and Legal Ethics (10-110-101); general knowledge of a personal computer; keyboarding speed of 30 wpm.
