This course introduces the principles of pharmacology, including drug classifications and their effects on the body. Emphasis is on the use of the components of the nursing process when administering medications.

Prerequisites: Student must be enrolled in Practical Nursing Program. Student must be concurrently enrolled in Nurs Fund (543-301), Nurs Skill (543-302), Intro to Clin (543-304) and Comm Skills 1 (801-151) or Written Comm (801-195)
